Bayview Day Tour

Come and experience one of the most unique tours available in New Zealand in one of the most scenic places on earth.

You will be collected by a luxury launch from Havelock or any of the first class resorts in the Kenepuru Sounds, (Portage Resort, Te Mahia Bay Resort or Raetihi Lodge or any of the farm stays, B&B's or Self Contained Chalets).

Let your imagination run wild and take you back in time as you are toured around the many beautiful bays in the Kenepuru Sounds for a history tour, narrated by the mother of the Marlborough Sounds, Helen Godsiff.

Helen has written the book Tales from Kenepuru, Fragments of History and will guide you around and point out the fascinating places and events that have happened over the history of the Sound. Guests will also receive a DVD of the tour to remember all they have learnt.

We will then take you to Portage Resort or Raetihi Lodge for lunch served with some of Bayview's newest releases, hand grown and made 100% in the Kenepuru Sounds.

After lunch you will be back on the launch and taken to Waitaria Bay, home of the boutique Bayview Farms Vineyard and Winery. At the jetty you will be met and taken on a leisurely tour of Bayview Farms, the vineyards and Alpaca Stud. You will be able to meet the friendly Clydesdale and Gypsy Cob who are currently in training as carriage horses.

Then up to the new wine tasting facility overlooking the picturesque Kenepuru Sound for wine tasting of the Bayview Wines, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer and also a selection of our red wines made from our California Vineyard. Afternoon tea will also be served.

Now you are completely relaxed we will take you to Nikau Gardens, the most beautiful English garden in the sounds, featured in New Zealand house and garden magazine, for a garden tour by owner Alison Bowron. Nikau garden is a registered New Zealand trust garden and has been part of garden Marlborough for 10 years.

Then it's back to the wharf for collection and your return to your pick up points.
